Kharel has more than three decades of business experience in Nepal and the United States. He is the leader in public relations in Nepal and the Non-Residential Nepali Region. Kharel has been the vice-president of US Nepal Chamber of Commerce, advisor to Non-Resident Nepali Association of America, as well as the founder and president of Kian Waste Paper, Kharel Group Inc., Whale in Kathmandu Inc. in the United Kingdom, while the president of Kian Agriculture Research and Development in Nepal and the director of Dolphin Paints Pvt.
